JYJ Park Yoochun won the rookie award through his first drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’.
On the 31st Park Yoochun was awarded ‘Best Rookie Actor Award’ in ’2010 KBS Drama Awards’ held at KBS Annex Open Hall in Seoul, South Korea. The award is even more precious as it was given to him despite being rivaled to the main character actor of ‘Baker King, Kim Tak Goo’ Yoon Si-yoon whose drama slammed the 40% ratings and has been referred as Nation Drama.
Park Yoochun, “Thank you very much, a lot of things had happened, I’d like to thank KBS for allowing me to take part in such good drama” as he said during the acceptance speech. Due to contract litigation problem with his agency SM Entertainment, in 2010 Park Yoochun together with Xiah Junsu and Youngwoong Jaejoong formed a new group called JYJ.
Furthermore Park Yoochun continued, “To the members who are always beside me through the hardest times, and my father who’s probably watching this broadcast in teary eyes regardless his unwell condition, I’d like to dedicate this honor to him.”
Meanwhile, Park Yoochun also won the ‘Best Couple Awards’ together with his ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ counterpart, Park Min Young.
