On the 6th and 7th of March, Korea boy band, Super Junior will be holding their second Asia Tour in Shanghai, and whether HanGeng, who has missed out on the Beijing leg of the concert, will be back for this concert, is now a hot topic.
From what we know from the organizers yesterday, although they have gotten permission from the other SJ members, they are only lacking HanGeng’s, and are in a discussion with SM, and they hope that HanGeng would be able to attend this concert.
This problem have caused quite a bit of problem for SJ, however, it did not hinder the success they have achieved till today. Last year, the release of created a craze in Korea as well as in Asia, and with the release of the mini-album in September, which topped charts in Taiwan, and also open up the music market for SJ. In October last year, SJ held their first concert in Shanghai, with ticketing prices going up to as high as 3600yuan, and the year end concert in Nanjing, even though they opened tickets for standing only for those fans who couldn’t get a ticket, there were still 4000 fans who waited outside in the rain. In order to show their gratitude, SJ made Shanghai their last stop*, doubling the concert time, as well as change a whole new stage, allowing more interactions with SJ and the fans.
In last week’s concert, although it was the first time that the group is performing with only 10 members, they still had their fans support. During the performances, members each sat on the stage, giving their heartfelt thanks to the fans, while the fans filled the whole venue with chants of HanGeng, KiBum and KangIn, wishing that they could see a concert where the whole group is present. With this being the last stop, the organizers express that they feel the same way as the fans, which is able to see SJ in one complete group performing. However, HanGeng has remained adamant about his decision, and organizers said they will personally talk to him, hoping that he will give his fans a surprise on that day.
*: They are probably speaking in China
