The sights of DBSK members hurrying through various international airports and avoiding grabby hands shouldn't be unfamiliar to any fans of the boys. According to estimated calculations, each of the members has logged approximately 300,000 miles in airline mileage since their first overseas activities in April 2004 up to September 2008.

For the folks not in the USA (no thank you metric), that is over 482,803 kilometers!

The circumference of the earth is around 40,000 kilometers, which means each of the boys could have circled the earth 12 times since 2004. The five of them together would have traveled 60 times around the world by now.

Another indication of the high demand outside of Korea for DBSK is the MKMF Overseas Award vote. DBSK is leading with over 95% of the votes at the moment. It seems Cassiopeia has mobilized and is ready to pull off anything for the end of the year award shows. Check out the current stats:

WonderGirls for first solo concert next February

WonderGirls will be holding their first concert next February, the first girl group concert 9 years after S.E.S had theirs back in 2000.

It was said that the concert will held for a total of 5000 fans, though venue and date has not been set. The concert was also the idea from the members to repay the love and support that their fans have given to them all this while.

The last time WonderGirls participated in such concerts was for JYP’s American concert earlier this year.

Yunho's Fanclub Donates 20,000,000 Won in His Name

Yunho, leader of idol group TVXQ, was very touched by the act of kindness his fans did under his name.

TVXQ stood on their comeback stage on the 28th of September on Inkigayo. On this day, they performed Mirotic, Hey!, and Love in the Ice.

After the performances, Yunho came to the resting lounge and received his special gift from fans. This gift was 20,000,000 won donated under his name to a chidren's charity.

After finding the donation certificate, Yunho said he was "very touched. Last February I returned the gifts they gave me, but I thanked them for the thoughtfulness. I hoped these gifts could be used on some good deeds instead. I'm very thankful they did such an act of kindness."

Yunho went on to say, "I'm very touched. Today will become a beautiful memory. I will show an even better side of me for my loyal fans."

Wonder Girls Volunteer at Welfare's Foundation

On the afternoon of Oct. 28, the five-member girl group Wonder Girls (SunYe, Sohee, SunMi, YeEun, YooBin) opened Leaving Love volunteer activities at the Korea Welfare Foundation’s One Love Village located in GwangJu.

This year is the 6th “Nong Shim Leaving Love Corps” where the entire nation’s youths participate in a variety of volunteer activities and practice “leaving love” wherever they go. Today, the students of SuJi High School participated with the popular group, the Wonder Girls. The girl group with the high school students will help children with impediments and/or serious diseases for one night and two days in a variety of activities: bathing, feeding, cleaning, laundry, etc.

On MBC’s ‘Come To Play’, DBSK’s Uknow Yunho said they were terrorized before saying that ”Back then, an extreme fan posted an mean comment on the internet that said ’Didn’t they purposely do that to themselves so that they don’t have to go to the army?’” They revealed that “We just wanted to let it pass by but because of that and other comments but we were really upset about it.”

Following that Youngwoong Jaejoong told us the solution to that which was “We sometimes look on the internet but whenever we see posted mean comments, we don’t read it at all.” Xiah Junsu added “There’s studd about us but when the other stars (because of mean comments), their privacy isn’t protected or if they get hurt, we know how they feel.” “At times like that, we also feel hurt. ’Shouldn’t we try to protect each other in cases like this?’ We have posted replies to the comments saying that before.”.

Choi Kang Chang Min, Enthroned as TVXQ’s Casanova

Dong Bang Shin Gi’s Choi Kang Chang Min was singled out as the Casanova of the group.

On MBC’s ‘Yoo Jae Suk & Kim Won Hee’s Come To Play’ (Shortened form: ‘Come To Play’) broadcast on October 27th, Choi Kang Chang Min ranked first place when Young Woong Jae Joong surveyed it’s members when asked “Which person is most like casanova among Dong Bang Shin Gi?”

Choi Kang Chang Min drew attention because of the overwhelming lead even before the ranking was announced. Suddenly exposing his fellow member, Young Woong Jae Joong stated, “Choi Kang Chang Min sometimes in the car passes by 100’s of women and looks at all 100 of those women.” And “He won’t express anything but he’ll unconsciously remember which woman was wearing pretty clothes when we passed by” added member, U-Know Yunho.

Sitting in the rear of Choi Kang Chang Min was Micky Yoochun. “When Micky Yoochun finds a woman after his heart, his pupils dilate” stated Young Woong Jae Joong causing an uproar among the group. “If he really favors a woman then there’s a very intense glitter in his eyes,” confessed Young Woong Jae Joong.

Wonder Girls Sun Mi: "I didn't think Yoobin would fit."

Small History:
Korean Idol band Wonder Girls consist of five girls. but before there was Yoobin the rapper in the group was Hyun Ah who withdrew due to personal issues. She is currently a JYP Trainee again. When Hyunah left Yoobin was placed into Wonder Girls, the song Tell me was even remixed with a rap part for Yoobin. The original did not have a rap part.

The Wonder Girls recently participated in the MNet show called "My Favorite" (마이 페이보릿 - gotta love the Konglish) where the girls were interviewed. The MC asked how Yoobin felt when she had to replace Hyunah. She answered, "It was really hard because all the other members have already had their musical debut together while I had to experience it alone. I worried a lot but luckily, "Tell Me" did very well. It was the turning point of my life."

The show continued and the MC asked the other members what they thought about Yoobin becoming a Wonder Girl. Sun Mi replied, "To be honest, when I first saw her I thought she wouldn't fit. She seemed very dry and quiet." Such a quick forward answer surprised everyone on stage. Sun Mi continued to say, "This thought was quickly changed after the album jacket pictures came out. She looked very sexy and cool and I realized she really was a Wonder Girl. Even now she holds the title as the 'sexy' Wonder Girl."

Xiah JunSu is like ‘Crazy XX’ to his twin brother?

Dong Bang Shin Ki had appeared on variety show MBC ‘Come and play’ which was aired on 27th October.

On this episode, member Xiah Junsu picked up a call from his twin brother (Kim Jun Ho)and he asked, “Hyung, what is my existence to you?”. His brother had asked, “You want a truthful answer or just a joking answer?”. When Junsu said he wanted truthful answer, his brother said, “You are like another self of me”.

That was a short though touching moment. But Junsu went on to ask, “How about the joking answer?”.


His brother then replied, “Crazy XX” which evoked a ripple of laughter from those in the studio for the filming. One part of the answer was censored off due to use of profanity.

Fans have voiced that the episode was fun but they felt that part of the content should not be censored and left out.

And the PD came out to clear that they did not edit out the parts which really portrays the atmosphere and moment when the 2 brothers were talking but there was of course no bad intentions coming from Junsu’s brother in the conversation hence there should not be a major problem in it.

On the same episode, it was also revealed that member Max ChangMin is like the hardest person to meet after Seo Taiji. He revealed that even though he gets along well with other hyungs in the group, he likes to do things alone, even when comes to drinking alone.

In today's new episode of Come To Play, Kim Jaejoong was labeled by the DBSK members as the person who takes stalker pictures.

All the members protest that Hero Jaejoong only takes pictures that the members do not want captured such as when showering or only wearing boxers. U-know Yunho stated that sometimes when the members are in the restroom, Hero Jaejoong would stick his hand (with his cellphone) in and take pictures. If Hero Jaejoong's cellphone, with the secret pictures that he took, was lost. Then that would be bad.

Hero Jaejoong explains that he does this only because the members are very important to him so he wants to capture the moments (of the members) that only he sees, as a way to treasure the memories.

After Korea and Japan, MIROTIC goes on to conquer Taiwan

Popular group Dong Bang Shin Ki new album has not only proves itself in Korea and Japan but also in Taiwan.

Their 4th album ‘MIROTIC’ was released in Taiwan on the 17th, and in one week’s time, the album went up to #1 positions on various popular music chartslike G Music Chart, Vibe music and CC Record etc.

The album was #1 for the 3rd week of October (17th - 23rd Oct) on GMusic Asian album chart, the album sales also hit the record high of 57.98% in contributing to the total album sales change. And for Vibe music chart, they were also #1 on the same week with contribution album sales of 50.95%.

Wonder Girls Yoobin's Life OST and So Hee's Take on Family

As another revelation on Mnet’s “My Favorite” radio program, YooBin shared that she would pick “Tell Me” for her “My Life’s OST”. Most of the other members chose another singer/group’s song. “Even though it may not be so to the other members, to me it was my debut song,” explained YooBin. “The members that I had seen only on TV were my dream to me, and while being newly brought in, I was anxious and nervous at having to stand with those same members. MKMF 2008 Awards: Super Junior 0.98% votes & TVXQ 97% Votes

Seems like the grand come back surprises for TVXQ is not yet over as they have the highest online votes so far for the 10th MKMF Music Video Awards which will be held at 7 PM on November 15, 2008 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.

Super Junior Happy is at second place having 1,476 votes (0.98%) against 164,977 votes (97%) for TVXQ while the other nominees have less than a thousand votes.

It has been a year since Super Junior launched "A Man In Love" on their MKMF 2007 performance and it was Kyu Hyun's first big come back after his accident recovery.

Wonder Girls to Release Own Cosmetics, Peripera Wonder Line

The Wonder Girls will come out with a new line of cosmetics that they have helped created with color makeup brand Cleo early next month.

The makeup line will be called Peripera Wonder Line. PeriPera has been gaining lots of popularity online since Cleo launched the sister line in 2005.

A Cleo representative said, “The collaboration between the Wonder Girls, who creates a craze every time they come out they always come out with a surprising new style, plus PeriPera, a makeup brand line that speaks to the women’s heart, is the best news that a woman could possibly have.”

Han Hyo Joo Interview: “Jaejoong Is Still Very Unnatural”

Actress Han Hyo Joo delivered her promise to do her best in the upcoming Japanese-Korean collaboration drama, “Heaven’s Postman.”

On the 22nd, Han Hyo Joo revealed through a phone interview that she liked the script ever since she saw it, and made the decision to accept the role. Also, the director was someone she’d worked with before in “Spring Waltz,” adding to her confidence.

No more Super Concert?

Super Concert, which was set to see performing artistes like Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior Happy, Jun Jin and Min Gyung Hoon, was announced canceled.


Super Concert was initially set to take place on 25th October at 6p, in Bu Cheon Stadium. However the concert was announced canceled just 1 day before the concert on 24th October.

With the abrupt cancellation of the concert, not much have been released from the concert sponsors other than that they are still looking into the situation. On the other hand, fans are also confused with the news and are demanding for clarification.

A similar case happened on 11th October where MBC canceled their 40th anniversary concert ‘2008 Big Music Festival’ on the day of the concert itself.

“Mirotic” trumps “Nobody” at M! Countdown

Judging from the hot debate raging before the actual performances, this M! Countdown was expected to be explosive. The Wonder Girls took to the stage in shimmery-pink flapper dresses and belting out the tune that’s been drummed into our heads since their comeback. They came out quite strong, but still lacked the dynamite and lost out to a highly energetic Dong Bang Shin Ki in the end.

It was a pity the girls fell behind first-place by a mere 18 votes.

Jaejoong rehearsing a kissing scene with Han Hyo Joo

Han Hyo Joo and Kim Jaejoong are confirmed to be co-stars in their upcoming drama. Jae will act as a messenger between the dead (who are in heaven) and their family and friends (who are still living). His character is very deep and mysterious.

Han Hyo Joo will act as a pure and innocent girl who lost her loved one but cannot forget him. However, after working with Jaejoong at the same job, she slowly falls in love with him. This episode of the mini-series is 120 minutes long, and the entire plot is a love story. About the kiss scene, the director says that in the drama "the two (Jae and HHJ) have mutual feelings for each other. During a beautiful sunset, one of them (not specified) says 'I want to kiss you', followed by a very touching kiss scene." They have rehearsed the drama seven times already, and Jaejoong's acting has improved significantly.

They will start filming next month, which will be adjusted into Jaejoong's schedule. The drama is due to be aired May, 2009 on SBS.

Idol showdown of the year: DBSK vs Wonder Girls

As if the clashes of the comebacks weren’t enough, M.net, who’s incidentally also in charge of the idol-glorifying music festival MKMF wants to add oil to fire with another idol game. Scheduled for broadcast on a cable channel on the 23rd is a battle of the idols. This special “M Countdown” episode comes with the aim of crowning a male/female singer/group who best represents the whole population of Korea’s pop idols. Now there’s a huge feat.

While there were many comebacks that began at the end of September, the two obvious outstanding ones are Dong Bang Shin Ki and Wonder Girls. On top of dominating charts and airplay with “Mirotic” and “Nobody”, they’ve also been ranked top in their stage performances. So, to ensure an outpouring of the crazies (which equates to higher viewership), M.net wants to bring them together to go neck and neck with each other, christening their collision as a worthy “idol war”.

MKMF's nomination list revealed, DBSK received most nominations

The annual Korean music event "2008 Mnet KM Music Festival" (MKMF) will be held on 15th November. Before the actual awards, MKMF released the nomination list on the Mnet website.

This year's awards are divided into 30 different categories. 7 singer style categories, 5 music style categories, 2 MV categories, etc. The website has opened its polls and besides singers "campaigning," various fan clubs have also claimed "war" by voting numerous times for their idols.

DBSK has gained numerous nominations including "Best Male Group," "Best Choreography," "2008 Best Singer," and many others. Amongst the many different categories, the "Best Male Group" category has the most competition, with talented Hip-Hop group Big Bang competing with DBSK, who had a grand comeback into Korea's music scene after being away for 1 year and 7 months.

Of course, the votes are only a part of the final judgement. Professionals will also be judging the nominees.

The Wonder Girls will be holding their first concert on Valentine’s Day next year

“Next year on Feb. 14 we have plans to hold our solo concert,” they announced on the 22th KBS COOL FM “Yoon DoHyun’s Music Show” radio program. While the girls have headlined as guests at their sunbaes (senior singers) concerts, this is the first concert they have held on their own.

Han Hyo Joo Cast in “Heaven’s Postman”

Actress Han Hyo Joo is slated to play in the upcoming drama “Heaven’s Postman“, which is a joint collaboration between Korea and Japan and will be working with Hero JaeJoong of Dong Bang Shin Ki. The scriptwriting of “Heaven’s Postman” will be undertaken by Japanese screenwriter Eriko Kitagawa, who also wrote “Long Vacation” and “Beautiful Life”. The director will be Lee Hyeong Min, who directed “Sorry I Love You” and “Snow Queen”.

This is the first time the two renowned writer and director will be collaborating together. Celebrate Super Junior Day

On November 06, 2008 is the third annual celebration of Super Junior's debut as a Korean Pop group in 2005 under SM Entertainment.

Super Junior Day has been moved on the weekend which will be on November 08, 2008 at the Hwa Jeong Gymnasium of Korea University in Seoul, South Korea.

Retro “Nobody” placed Wonder Girls at the top for 3 weeks in a row on “Music Bank.”

On October 17’s broadcasting of KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank,” Wonder Girls’ 4th project album title song “Nobody” won #1 on the K-Chart. Immediately after they were awarded and had their encore performance, Wonder Girls’ YooBin put a petal on her lips during the ceremony and the other members burst with laughter.

On this day, Brown Eyed Girls’ “How” and Epik High’s “1 Minute 1 Second” were also placed in the 1st round but Wonder Girls are still #1 after 3-4 weeks.

Wonder Girls On Star Golden Bell

The Wonder Girls revealed the skinship that they would like to have with their future boyfriends on KBS2TV Star Golden Bell shown yesterday evening.

The Wonder Girls were asked, “What skinship would you like to have with your boyfriend?”. Sun Ye answered, “I want to hold hands with my boyfriend and have ddeokboggi (spicy rice cakes) on the street”. Ye Eun said, “I want to do the ‘Titanic’ pose with my boyfriend”. Yoo Bin wanted to be hugged while So Hee replied, “I would to run up to my boyfriend and jump into his arms”. Sun Mi said she just want to look at her boyfriend (vice versa) without saying anything at all and then hug. Their cute answers drawing cheers from male guests.

While the Wonder Girls were showing their Nobody dance and the other male guests were going crazy, Kim C just sat there with an expressionless face. Even when they were singing Ye Eun’s self-composed song and the rest of the entertainers were giving warm applause, he displayed the same blank expression. Thus, he invited misunderstanding from all around the room.

When asked about it, Ye Eun said with a sad face, “Kim C-ahjusshi seems to dislike us… We often watch ‘1N2D’”. He replied that, “It wasn’t a funny thing right?”, and produced laughter around the studio. So Hee also revealed, “Even though I like Kim C-ahjusshi on ‘1N2D’, I especially like Lee Seung Gi.”

Surprised that Sun Ye was picked to take on the final round of the Star Golden Bell Challenge because normally they pick older guests. But she did great and got the right answer, becoming the 60th Golden Bell Challenge winner.

TVXQ and SJ Audition for SBS’s New Drama “Learning God”?

“Learning God,” a new drama on SBS, has raised much curiosity about who will be cast.
FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki is thought to be the most likely main character, but seeing as the main character has not been revealed even now, there are rumours of TVXQ, SJ, FT Island, SS501, and such singers auditioning. “Learning God’s” producer said in a phone interview the other day, “We’re in the process of auditioning people, and we plan to cast idol group members in their late teens or early twenties. We will decide on the main character after auditioning them.” Said PD also mentioned, “Although idol group members can become the lead character and raise much gossip, what’s more important is their acting abilities. They need to pass a vigorous audition and observation of their acting skills before we can decide.”

The actors in “Boys Prettier than Flowers” are raising talk as well, since they are also rumoured to be idol group members who are just as popular.

The final list for 2008 MKMF nominee-and-song list has been released, and has also attracted heated response from music fans.

‘2008 Mnet KM Music Festival (MKMF)’ will he head on 15th November. The list also be announced on 17th November on cable channel Mnet ‘Wide Ent News’.


This year, there will be 7 sections for the singers awards, 5 sections for genre awards, 13 sections for music video awards and other awards, with 3 DaeSang award in the total of 30 awards all together. To order to produce the fairest judging for the awards, much effort has been put into the judging system.

Especially exciting will be the showdown of the different boybands. TVXQ Micky Yoochun’s Public Piano Performance

For the Autumn Special Concert, Dong Bang Shin Gi member displayed his talent on the piano with a piano performance.

On the 16th, with thirty thousand Cheong Ju citizens in attendance at the ‘Autumn Special Concert,’ Dong Bang Shin Gi prepared a special stage with an autumn song medley which not only consisted of their own songs thus receiving a great amount of cheers from the fans.

Micky Yoochun who never formally learned the piano delivered a beautiful piano performance through practicing while the other Dong Bang Shin Gi members accompanied him with the beautiful harmony of Young Woong Jae Joong’s solo track, “Greeting (인사)” and “Forgotten Season (잊혀진 계절).”

“It’s been a while since we’ve sung in the open air” said the members. And also expressing, “We were worried about a live piano performance but we are satisfied.”

The fans watching praised Dong Bang Shin Gi stating, “Dong Bang Shin Gi is great,” and “Although I knew they would do well, actually listening to them was surprising.”

DBSK, Shinee, SNSD to Perform at 10th Annual China-Korea Friendship Concert

The 10th annual China-Korea Friendship Concert, hosted by KBS, will be taking place on Jeju Island this Friday. Performers on the Kpop side include the usual suspects like Dong Bang Shin Ki, Girls’ Generation / SNSD and Paran. New group of cutie pies SHINee are also invited. This is shaping up to be an all SM Entertainment artist concert once again.

The Chinese artists performing include power voice Han Hong and one half of the duet Twins's A Sa. Other no-namers and actors-turned-singers are also attending...

The show will be aired by KBS and CCTV from late October to early November.

Dong Bang Shin Ki JaeJoong as a rapper?

Dong Bang Shin Ki was on SBS Power FM on 13th October on ‘Lee Jeok’s Ten Ten Club’ where they introduced new songs from their 4th album on the show.

Track 2 of the album ‘Wrong Number’ was especially the hot topic of the day.

Vocal JaeJoong introduced the song together with the fact that this is his first time attempting rapping.


He said, “I really want to do rapping like crazy. The truth is that when we were recording the song, I felt embarrassed in front of the other members. I was curious how the members will receive it, and unexpectedly their reactions were good and I was relieved.”

Together, the group introduced their 4th album with live performances like ‘Afterglow’ which Xiah JunSu wrote the lyrics to.

Jae Joong's first ever rap is featured in the song Wrong Number off DBSK's comeback album Mirotic.

TVXQ: "We went to go see our posters in Japanese cities!"

TVXQ was on Ten Ten Club on the 13th on SBS FM, and revealed that they were going to release a new Japanese single again. The DJ said enthusiastically, "Last year when I was at a bath spring in Japan I saw a huge TVXQ poster."

Han Sungju + DBSK’s Youngwoong Jaejoong hope for a fake marriage “We got remarried”

Han Sungju said out that she wanted to have a pretend marriage with DBSK’s Youngwoong Jaejoong.

On KBS 2TV ‘Happy Together Season 3’ with aired the 9th, Han Sungju, Seol Woondo, and DBSK’s Youngwoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Uknow Yunho guest stared.

Han Sungju was nicknamed as the female ‘Lee Hwijae’ and to try to explain by saying “Lee Hwijae sshi has appeared on ‘We got married’ and I wanted to be on that program so that’s why I said ‘Let’s get married.’”.

Jaejoong Takes Care of the Members

DBSK members have throat problems due to the flu.

Recently, DBSK member Hero Jae Joong caught the cold and infected the other members as well, therefore everyone except Max Changmin suffered from some sort of throat problem. As a result the boys were dead tired after their comeback special on SBS Popular Song Inkigayo.

Their Management explained: "Since the members are together 24 hours a day, transmission can happen very fast."

Due to their busy schedule, trying to protect their throats have turned hactiic, causing the boys to have headaches. *figure of speech meaning it is borthersome*. One of the method the boys came up was to bring their heavy coats to all activities, putting them on after the filming to keep warm.

Hero Jae Joong has even personally bought medicine for himself and the others. Under his supervision, he made sure the members took their medications on time. He's put alot of effect into helping the group recovers.

Those around DBSK has said "Recently the temperature has changed drastically, so it's not easy for them to take care of their health. They are all sick. but still has to sing live, which makes things harder. Luckily, they are putting in extra efforts to take care of themselves so they can continue with their schedule smoothly. Fans shouldn't be worry, the boys will pay more attention to their health from no on."

DBSK wants to stop fans from sexual harassment

On October 9th, DBSK appeared on Happy together season 3 on a KBS2TV program. Hero/JaeJoong confessed that he has been sexually harassed by some fans. They have gone too far with body contact towards him. He also stated “At crowded places like airports where screaming fangirls and hands are everywhere trying to cop a feel, you don’t know whose hand belongs to who.” Some of those hands usually go to his chest or his arms, but hands go on Junsu’s butt.

JaeJoong also said “Even if one hand has finished molesting, another hand will take it’s place. And it’s not like the hand just rests on the butt-it actually massaging it! This verges on sexual harassment!”

Yunho also said “There was an older fan who can kept massaging my face and kept saying, ‘aigo, so pretty’ but the person who is the victim doesn’t feel so hot.”

DBSK has hundred of fans around the world, they’re just sending a message to stop trying sexual harassment on them.

Just an update, MBC Big Music Festa has been cancelled due to 'lack of preparation' but it's one less work for the boys and one added night of rest.

On other hand, DBSK along with SHINee will be appearing at the 10th Korea-China festival.

DBSK among KOHAKU's options for guest

Nothing confirmed, though but it is quite promising!

There's some rumors spreading that the boys has been invited to Kohaku. For those that don't know what Kohaku is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia:

Kōhaku Uta Gassen more commonly known as simply Kōhaku, is an annual music show on the New Year's Eve produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK and broadcast on both television and radio, nationally and internationally by NHK's networks and some overseas broadcasters which bought the program. Literally "Red and White Song Battle," the program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The "red" team or akagumi is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the "white" team or shirogumi is all male (or groups with male vocals). The honor of performing on Kōhaku is strictly by invitation, so only the most successful J-POP artists and enka singers can perform. Even today, a performance on Kōhaku is said to be a big highlight in a singer's career because of the show's large reach.

Many people are saying this is a very big deal as only the top artists in Japan are invited, and those that are consider it to be an honor. Great news for TVXQ!

Tohoshinki as the only foreign band in that list. Among the list are Arashi and Hirai Ken. If Tohoshinki does get into this event, then it will surely be a boost to their career in Japan. Let's just hope that company greediness does not take over this event as well.

Wonder Girls in Singapore for K-pop Concert

The Singapore Tourism Board has organized a Korea Festival 2008 from 1st to 18th November, with a variety of traditional and contemporary events, from fine arts to popular culture and mainstream music. But the highlight has got to be the K-Pop Concert which will be held on Tuesday evening, 4th November 2008 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Details are sketchy at the moment but the following is an email reply from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea who are the organizers for this event.

Thanks for expressing your interest in the K-Pop Concert, to be held on 4th November 2008 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

We are very excited to introduce a promising line-up of singers and performers from Korea, including established stars such as the Wonder Girls, Chae Yeon, Andy, JunJin, V.O.S., and Jewelry. Emerging artistes such as U-Kiss, 2PM, Peter and Kim Jong Wook will also feature in the performance on the 4th.

Ticketing arrangements for the K-Pop Concert are still being finalised. Tickets will not be sold through the usual outlets such as SISTIC. Instead, they will be given away over the next few weeks through our key sponsors, Far East Organisation, LG Electronics and Korean Air. You may wish to check with the above-mentioned sponsors on their plans to release tickets to the public.

Korea International Radio will also be holding live quizzes around mid-October to give away free tickets to listeners.

We encourage you to stay tuned for further developments and news in the media over the next few weeks.

It seems like it would be a lottery to get the tickets. While it’s great that the Wonder Girls are coming, but it looks like it would be a long shot to see them perform. But it’s nice to see them taking the time to come overseas to Singapore for a performance from their busy schedule. Hope that those who win the tickets are K-pop fans or at least become a convert after watching.

The list looks pretty awesome on paper. You have argubably the most popular girl group Wonder Girls, sexy Chae Yeon, two Shinhwa members going solo Andy and JunJin, Jewerly, V.O.S. and the emerging artistes.

Yoochun’s Grandmother's Famous Restaurant in Seoul

Seoul’s Jongno, a 70-year-old traditional Korean restaurant, has been frequented by celebrities,
South Korean President dynasties, the Japanese prime minister, political and economic circles.
It has a total of three-over 360 seats and requires reservations. DBSK has visited this prestigious restaurant in Seoul (Micky took them there.) Because of the recent re-development [construction] of the city, business was suspended for a while. It is said that it will re-open in October.

Employees have work there for long periods of time. Some have worked there for than 50 years.
More than 40% have worked for more than 10 years.
Yoochun’s grandma is skilled in operating her business.

Yoochun must have experienced vast changes [emotional] after coming to the US. After all, the environment is very different. His wealthy childhood environment has given him a graceful and calm temperament, while the hard times in the US has made him stronger and more insightful.

SNSD-2PM ‘Uniform Meeting’

Groups SNSD and 2PM will meet to do a uniform CF for ‘Elite’.

The two groups finished shooting the ‘having fun on a date’ concept Elite CF which will take effect from December. 2PM’s members Nichkhun and Hwang Chansung have had an experience of shooting with SNSD first last August for a fall pictorial. This time, in addition to 2PM’s previous members, they were chosen to shoot this new CF.

One of the people who was involved with the CF said “SNSD’s 9 girls and 2PM’s 7 guys in total make up 16 people but they were very harmonious. It might have been because the two teams were similiar in age, but they matched so well with no difficulties”.

For the past year, SNSD has been the models for Elite uniforms and during that time, they have been working with Cho Shinsung. This time they hope to show a different side with 2PM as they shoot their winter uniform style. This is the first time since their debut that 2PM has been a CF model so this will be their first CF shooting

SNSD is currently being working as fashions magazine editors on the cable channel Mnet’s . 2PM is also busy promoting their single <10점>.

Wonder Girls Are K-Chart No.1 for 2nd Consecutive Week

The Wonder Girls won No.1 for the second consecutive week on Music Bank with the much anticipated showdown between the most popular female and male group in Korea right now, DBSK (did not appear) not happening.

We are into the 3rd week of “Nobody” promotion and the Wonder Girls picked up their second consecutive No.1 on Music Bank. To sum it up, Music Bank today was almost like a carbon copy of what happened last week. The Wonder Girls were up against the same competition in Big Bang and the Brown Eyed Girls while DBSK remained in 4th place. You can see from picture above that the Wonder Girls won with a massive 8350 points, x2 of Brown Eyed Girls.

Jaejoong asks fans why they don't cheer at M! Countdown concert

So there was a lot of confusion in the Korean fandom since the M! Countdown concert because of JaeJoong. When they got to recording the Mirotic performance, there was an NG so they had some time while the black whats-its were being fixed. The members went back down but then Jaejoong poked his head back out to ask the fans why they weren't doing the cheers anymore. (As you probably know, the fans had decided to just listen quietly so people could actually hear DBSK's live after asking the guys. So there was a lot of stuff floating around about how DBSK can't agree on how they want to be cheered on either.)

You'll have to look at the floor to spot him. Just his head/shoulder is sticking out.

JJ: Please cheer a lot. Lately (I've noticed that) you haven't been doing that, you know
*JJ sings the Mirotic parts and the fans do the cheer*
JJ: That's right! Please do it well/often~

Didn't have time to watch the fancams of the concert but I heard that Cass cheered (but maybe too excessively) after this. Quite a few of the reports I've read said Jaejoong looked pretty satisfied after the Mirotic performance.

SM just posted a notice on DBSK's news&notice portion a little while back that the fans should stay quiet, but do the cheering at the chorus of Mirotic like Jaejoong wanted. That probably settled things since until then, all the fans were wondering how they should cheer, if they should cheer (they started a poll again), etc.

U-Know Yunho, Jeon Ji Hyun ‘Shocking Meeting’ Revealed

U-Know Yunho revealed how he became involved with his ideal type, Jeon Ji Hyun.

On the broadcast of KBS ‘Happy Together Season 3′ on the 9th, Dong Bang Shin Gi member U-Know Yunho drew interest when he said, “I had the chance to meet my ideal type, Jeon Ji Hyun.”

The two recently had opportunity of meeting since Dong Bang Shin Gi has been selected as a model for a cellular company, the same brand which Jeon Ji Hyun is a model for.

In their upcoming advertisement, Yunho’s manager revealed that, “The advertisement’s concept called for Yunho and Jeon Ji Hyun to sit face to face and drink coffee,” and also added that “He suddenly became tense.”

Junsu: First, we (Junsu and Yoochun) became friends in TVXQ. Time has flown by, and it's already been six years. We've walked together until now, and have become closer than friends; we're more like family. JaeJoong was a gum seller during his youth?

Dong Bang Shin Ki member, Young Woong JaeJoong has revealed that he was a gum seller when he was young.

Young Woong JaeJoong has captured the hearts of his fans with his prince-like looks. However, during his appearance on KBS 2TV’s Happy Together Season 3, he revealed for the first time that he was once a gum seller when he was young.

When he was 16, JaeJoong decided to go to Seoul to fulfil his dream of becoming a singer. JaeJoong, who lived a hard life while he was at Seoul, said “The owner of the house I was staying in said ‘If you can’t produce the rent by tomorrow, I’ll evict you from your room.”

In order to come up with the 150 000 won needed to pay for the rent, he started working, taking up various jobs including being one of 100 000 soldiers for the movie, Taegeukgi Hwinallimyeo (Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War) and selling gum, JaeJoong explained, to the great surprise of the audience and his fellow guests alike.

When JaeJoong was selling gum, due to his normal appearance (as in he didn’t have the appearance of someone who would usually do that type of work), admitted that “People would usually mistake and think that I had stolen the gum, which made it hard for me.” JaeJoong, who would walk around all day trying to sell the gum also said “Out of desperation, I went into a supermarket, where the woman working there took pity on me and said ‘I’ll buy whatever gum you have left, so don’t do that type of work anymore.’ before giving me 150 000 won.”

From this, JaeJoong continued, “Through this event, I got even more determined in my attempt to become a singer.”. JaeJoong also showed his thankfulness towards the woman he met in the supermarket during the broadcast.

Happy Together Season 3 will be broadcast on the 9th of October, 11:05 pm KST.

Some ELF are shaking in their boots with the thought of Super Junior being only 12 members. There's been some rumors spreading across the Korean Blogosphere that KiBum will be leaving the group shortly before the release of the third album.

As many people know, KiBum debuted as an actor and his first priorities was and always will be acting. With this in mind some fans looked at KiBum's upcoming schedule and noticed that his filming schedule is in direct conflict with many of Super Junior's activities and engagements. KiBum also didn't have one line to sing in Super Junior's entire 2nd album. So people started spreading some rumors that KiBum is going to leave Super Junior without any credible source to back up that theory. Even without a credible source, some Super Junior fans were getting worried about the prospect of KiBum leaving.

I highly doubt that KiBum would leave a popular group like Super Junior. Being in the group only enhances his popularity as an actor. He could skip out on most of Super Junior activities and still collect a nice paycheck. So ELF you can put down your butcher knives and put your minds at ease.

Big Bang makes an album sales breakthrough of 160,000 copies and also topping album sales chart in the past 2 months.

They are indeed one of the big hits of 2008 in the Kpop zone.


According to YG Entertainment, with the release of their 3rd minialbum ‘Stand Up’ on 8th August until now, they have achieved album sales of 160,000 copies. After their 1st and 2nd minialbum, which includes hits like ‘Lie’ and ‘Last Greeting’, this minialbum continues to make the breakthrough of 100,000 album sales.

The minialbum continues to stay strong by staying within the top 5 positions on various online album sales ranking charts, and is expected to achieve album sales of 200,000 copies by the end of the year.

Not only so, Big Bang seems to be one group which is unaffected by the falling album sales trend for the music industry.

They released their title song ‘Haru Haru’ on 8th August the day of Beijing Olympics, but continues to make it to the top on many mobile and music ranking charts. The songs ‘Haru Haru’ and ‘Heaven’ from their 3rd minialbum also proves to be popular hits occupying top positions on various music charts. Their 3rd minialbum can be said to be better than that of their 1st and 2nd minialbum.

JY Park Taking the Wonder Girls to the Next Level

Except for the sagging album sales which is prevalent in the Korean music industry nowadays save for a few exceptions like DBSK, the Wonder Girls have already achieved a lot since their debut last year and their CEO Park Jin Young thinks that they are ready to move on to the next level, America.

Park Jin Young held an informational meeting at the JYP Center yesterday where he talked about the Wonder Girls and their future plans for fans.

1. No specific information was revealed but it’s confirmed that “Nobody” will be the Wonder Girls last album before they leave for America on 14th February next year. They will have their concert in Korea before leaving. They will do promotions in America with lots of breaks in between unlike their Korea promotions which was always full of activities from day to night and made the girls very tired. The length of the breaks were not specified by the staff.

They are going there to recharge themselves and JYP has a special project planned for the Wonder Girls. (Then what about school for Ye Eun, Sun Mi, So Hee and Yoo Bin? Sun Ye is not going for entrance exams this year?)

2. With regards to the image and song leak prior to the album release, it was not a marketing gimmick but a real leak. (Who did it then? Ghost?)

3. There aren’t any fan-signing events planned because it’s too tiring for the girls who had to sign approximately 150 CDs in a hour last time.

4. There are no plans for HyunA to return to the Wonder Girls who will remain a 5-member group. They declined to reveal any plans for HyunA for the future.

5. No birthday parties for the Wonder Girls because they have a hectic schedule to keep. JYPE didn’t want to make promises without being able to keep it.

6. No DVD of the fanmeeting will be released. The Wonder Girls are not against the idea but they are not sure since it was a special moment for them.

7. They did not want to release CDs that are the same of other artistes; If they tried selling CDs at fan signings, the girls would have to sign 3000 CDS in a hour which is too taxing.

8. The numerous outdoor performances and concerts are due to the television PDs requests. Basically it’s between the PDs and the company.

9. They will put more effort and spruce up the website.

10. There are rumors that JYPE are not allowing the Wonder Girls to talk on fancafes and reveal themselves. They deny that and said 2PM are talking on fancafes. It’s the Wonder Girls decision on whether they want to do it or not.

11. JYPE are trying to change So Hee’s on-air personality and behavior. But one cannot change their personality. So Hee has acknowledged it however and knows that she needs to change. Ye Eun has signed on with JYPE as a composer in addition to being a Wonder Girl member.

12. They ordered lightsticks but due to errors, they are only preparing them now. There are no talk of any change in their balloon colors.

13. They do not care about the doubling of the chorus part in “Nobody”. They realize that although the girls are lacking in talent, when they sing good, they have to praise them. FT Island Boys Play Basketball in Heaven

Earlier, the boys of FT Island announced they would be releasing a new Music Video as a follow up to their comeback music video, After Love.

the Preview was released yesterday and so far fans are wilded up. The theme of the MV this time around revolves around the boys playing "extreme" basketball. The video also reflect their manly charismatic side emerging throughout the years.

Tohoshinki will attend Kōhaku Uta Gassen

Ir was announced a couple days about that this year's annual Kōhaku Uta Gassen will have an appearance by popular group Tohoshinki.

Kōhaku Uta Gassen (紅白歌合戦) more commonly known as simply Kōhaku, is an annual music show on the New Year's Eve produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK and broadcast on both television and radio, nationally and internationally by NHK's networks and some overseas (mainly cable) broadcasters which bought the program. The show ends shortly before midnight (when NHK switches to a frenzy of "Happy New Year" greetings from around the nation). Literally "Red and White Song Battle," the program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The "red" team or akagumi (赤組紅組)is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the "white" team or shirogumi (白組)is all male (or groups with male vocals).

The honor of performing on Kōhaku is strictly by invitation, so only the most successful J-Pop artists and enka singers can perform. In addition to the actual music performances, the costumes, hair-styles, makeup, dancing, and lighting are also important. Even today, a performance on Kōhaku is said to be a big highlight in a singer's career because of the show's large reach.

U-kiss To Visit Japan, Malaysia & Singapore

U-Kiss, the multi-lingual group, first showcased their skills in Japan with a joint concert with sunbaes from the same company, PARAN. Soon afterward they were schedule to debut in Korea on the 28th of September.
Although they had a rough start with their youngest member, Dongho, hospitalised right after they debuted, he quickly recovered and now they have gotten onto the smoother side of things with recent events such as being invited to the 'Asia Song Festival' and having a special 'reality' episode presented by cable channel, ETN.

And now U-Kiss takes another step forward by taking a visit to Japan, Malaysia and Singapore,

Uknow Yunho “When I was a newbie, I wanted to eat Shark’s fin so I lied and said I ordered 20 black bean noodles”

DBSK member Uknow Yunho has revealed something about his trainee days that he couldn’t say back then.

DBSK has appeared on KBS 2TV ‘Shin Dongyup and Shin Bongsun’s Champange’ on the 4th and said some things that caused a lot of laughs.

Uknow Yunho said “Back then during the trainee days, DBSK and Super Junior couldn’t eat expensive food. And at that time Super Junior member Kibum has arrived from America.” As a result, he joked that they order the really expensive Shark fin.

At the time, “We wanted to eat it so much that we ordered it but at the time they were allowed to eat expensive foods and so when the bill came out to 20 man won (200 dollars) and so we were really surprised. And they gave us 2 plates of mandoo as service which they don’t give even if you order many bowls of black bean noodles.” and went into more detail about the situation.

At the time, Uknow Yunho was good at changing his voice on the phone. He said “When it came time to pay, it bothered him so he called and asked if on the bill he could change the 2 sharks fins to 20 bowls of black bean noodles. Fortunately, they passed over it well. It was a totally criminal act”. For that he apologized saying “Boss, I’m sorry. I just really wanted to eat it. We got all the way here because of the strength we got from eating the shark fin at the time.” Because of his words, he caused the other guests and audience to laugh.

That day during the broadcast, they have to pick ‘Today’s talk King’ and Uknow Yunho with his witty remarks was picked.

DBSK and Fahrenheit at ASF

FLH (Farenheit) attended the 2008 Asian Music Festival (in which DBSK won best artist! congrats boys) and during the midst of FLH's Chu Shen Ru Hua performance, the mikes broke down. However, the fans were still supportative and backstage, DBSK found the FLH boys and congratulated them on their performance despite the technical difficulties. FLH's Jiro also told DBSK that when DBSK went to Taiwan for a concert, FLH went to see their show despite the typhoon. FLH also invited DBSK to visit Taiwan again and perform there again.

Members of TVXQ expressed they were in shock and couldn't believe it since they initially thought reacting 15,000 in sales was difficult enough. The boys were also touched by the amount of support and promised to work hard.

The 4th album was created by the ideas of the individual members:
Jae Joong first came up with the title Mirotic by combining the Korean word "miro" with the English ending "tic", creating a new slang/word meaning To be trapped in a maze. The new word also reflects the fact that fans can not escape the charm of Dong Bang Skin Ki.

"We wanted to try something new while keeping the idea that only DBSK would do this sort of thing. That was not so easy."

Wonder Girls 2.0 in the works

Do we need another set of talentless girls prancing around on stage in skimpy clothes singing the same repetitive songs? According to JYP, yes we do.

At the “CJ Entertainment’s Night and Passion” event on October 4th, JYP revealed that he’s producing a Chinese version of the Wonder Girls. The name and exact debut date of these girls are not known yet, but it’s in the works and they might even debut in the states if it works out.

Sigh. And here we go again with another round of concept driven girl-groups with absolutely no vocal skills… I need music to my ears not someone scartching the blackboard!

World Domination: Mexican magazine features DBSK (after previous coverage from Peru, Chile & Spain)

Yet ANOTHER special feature article on the great phenomenon & sensation called DBSK / Tohoshinki / TVXQ, by another completely far off and non-Asian country that one would never have thought would consider covering Kpop/Jpop.

A weekly Mexican entertainment magazine recently had a large page dedicated to the group, mentioning their immense popularity around the world in countries like Korea, Japan and Taiwan. They even went as far as to suggest that DBSK is ready to conquer Mexico!

Might we suggest that DBSK totally take up some Spanish classes and consider a debut in the Latin/South American countries, more so than the US itself seeing how much greater media interest is being shown there. These media outlets are literally calling out to them to come over. Of course, this is all thanks to the hundreds of fans who made their fandom known.

Sexy star Lee Hyori has won the Mutizen song award two weeks in a row for her 3rd album’s second promoted song, “Hey Mr. Big.” On October 5’s SBS “Inkigayo” it won 1st again for Mutizen.

“Today is the last broadcasting for my 3rd album. For this 3rd album I’ve done the best that I can, and I want to thank everyone who helped, and thank all the fans who gave me strength,” Lee Hyori said happily after she won.

Changmin Almost Lost His Income Because of Junsu?

Dong Bang Shinki’s youngest member Choikang Changmin became the topic of conversation as he exposed that Xiah Junsu almost cut off his source of income.

DBSK, who made an magnificent comeback stage after a year and 7 months, appeared on KBS 2TV ‘Shin Dongyup and Shin Bongsun’s Champagene’ and talked skillfully.

During the ‘Shower Talk- It’s all because of you’ Choikang Changmin exposed that because of Xiah Junsu almost stole his source of income. What happened was that at their debut, Choikang Changmin held the cute image in the group, but Xiah Junsu came out with ‘Angel Xiah’ and took the cute image, resulting in Changmin not having any road to follow. Choikang Changmin revealed “Because of him, I just became the tall kid in Dong Bang Shinki”.

After that they revealed that “The members of Dong Bang Shinki had a big fight because we all had our own images but Xiah Junsu messed it up”.

DBSK’s singing gets only 80 points?

‘Tiny Pianist’ Yoo Yeeun and Dong Bang ShinKi have gotten together on stage.

On the night broadcast SBS’s Kim Jungeun’s Chocolate on the 10th, Blind pianist Yoo Yeeun played ‘You Raise me Up’ while Dong Bang Shin Ki, who returned with their 4th album ‘주문-미로틱(MIROTIC)’ in a year and 7 months, accompanied her with their beautiful voices.

In case you don’t know who Yoo Yeeun is, she made an apperance on an episode of ‘Star King’ last year because of the fact that she couldn’t see. She got recognized as a piano prodigy and the members of Super Junior Trot were so touched that they surprised her with a piano as a gift.

Super Junior Happy, which consists of Eeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, and Eunhyuk were also invited as special guests.

After their performance the host, Kim Jungeun sang ‘Na Hangsang Geudaerul’ while Yeeun played.

Yoo Yeeun created a lot of laughter amongst the guests by saying that Dong Bang Shinki’s singing was 80 points while Kim Jungeun’s was 110 points.

The Idol star group DBSK’s appearance on ‘Kim Jungeun’s Chocolate’ will be aired the October 1st at 12:25PM.

October 1, at 2 in the afternoon, Fahrenheit held a meeting to promote Taiwanese tourism at Seoul’s Grand Hyatt Hotel.

The 4 members of Fahrenheit, Yeom Ah Ryun (Yan Ya Lun) (Aaron Yan), Wang Dongsung (Wang Dong Cheng) (Jiro Wang), Jin Yuk Yoo (Chen Yi Ru) (Calvin Chen), Oh Zun(Wu Zun) have gained popularity in Korea from televised shows such as the Taiwanese Drama ’Hana Kimi’ and ’It started with a kiss’.

At this interview session, Fahrenheit introduced 따이루거 (Ddaee Ru Guh), 위런항구 (Weryun Hanggoo), 르위에탄 (Ruweehtan, 컨딩 (Keonding) then they suggested we try 지우펀위위엔 (Jiu Fun Wiwi An), 슈퍼망고빙수 (Super Mango Bingsoo - Shaved ice), 루웨이 (Ru way), and 뉘러우미엔 (Nooi Ruh umi ahn) as part of promotion of Taiwanese tourism.

Wonder Girl’s Rank #1 Once Again

Returning to the scene once more, Wonder Girl’s 4th project album title song ‘Nobody’ ranked number one on KBS Music Bank’s K-Chart on the 3rd of October.

Competing for the number one spot alongside Wonder Girl’s was Brown Eyed Girl’s “How” and Big Bang’s “Day By Day.” Music Bank’s K-Chart combines 20% of Music Charts Scores, 50% of Digital Music Chart Scores and 30% of Viewer Preference Scores.

In the meantime, Group SeeYa and Crown J had their comeback performances in this edition of Music Bank.

TVXQ, “It’s Neither A Remake Nor Plagiarism”

Dong Bang Shin Gi’s new song, ‘Spell (MIROTIC)’ was criticized because of plagiarism.

When Dong Bang Shin Gi’s new album with the title, ‘Spell (MIROTIC) was released, netizens simultaneously began identifying the similarities between their title track and German pop singer, Sarah Conner’s song, “Under My Song.” Various arguments erupted with netizen’s stating, “This is plagiarism,” and “This is a remake.”

Dong Bang Shin Gi’s company spoke to the press on the 30th to clear this issue. “The composing team of Remee/Troelsen who composed BoA’s American debut song, ‘Eat You Up’ gave Dong Bang Shin Gi and Sarah Conner the same song” and that, “While Europe receives the rights for Sarah Connor’s version, Asia get’s Dong Bang Shin Gi.”

Furthermore, “when we first received the song, we knew that they were the same,” stated a spokesperson. “Sarah Conner made her version public last month but Dong Bang Shin Gi had finished recording in June.”

Super Junior's second to the eldest member Kim Hee Chul makes sure that despite their busy and exhausting schedule, they are still intact.

Seemed like Kim Hee Chul took a "laughing gas" to sample it with Zhou Mi as he didn't escape Hee Nim's contagious hyper mood during SM TOWN LIVE '08 in Shanghai.

Super Junior didn't give up on showing ELFs how much they support Henry and Zhou Mi by expressing their love and respect for the 2 boys. It has made a positive result that some ELFs are starting to embrace Henry and Zhou Mi now.

On the photo of the recent September 13, 2008 SM TOWN LIVE '08 happened in Shanghai, even Jae Joong of TVXQ applied in his life on what he has learned about the true meaning of brotherly love to Henry. What a cool guy Jae Joong to hang out with the boys which added his charisma even more. For Hee Chul tripping out on Zhou Mi, it is one of the most memorable part of the concert for Zhou Mi for sure.

And leader SunYe said, “We are currently preparing for a big project in America right now. With so much interest and concern for SoHee’s appearance in movie ‘I Like It Hot’, there are also plans for us in America next year.”

After that, a JYP representative said, “We are preparing for WonderGirls to advance into America not as singers but as actresses next year. And Park Jin Young will be leading the girls, though much more cannot be revealed until we have finalised with the plan at a later stage.”

Wonder Girls K-Chart No.1 Within One Week of Comeback

You can’t keep them from No.1 for long. Granted that the Wonder Girls didn’t do a “So Hot” and claim No.1 instantly on their comeback last week, they managed it today after just releasing their latest single “Nobody” only last week.

No more retro outfits and ugly wigs. It was back to normal as they wore silver outfits this time (nice) and had nice retro hairdos (nice). Their performance was again spot-on and I wouldn’t say perfect. But it was good overall. They were up against Big Bang “Haru Haru” and Brown Eyed Girls “How Come” on K-Chart this week. And they won with 6399pts against Brown Eyed Girls who had 3822. Where was DBSK? Well, they only made their comeback on Music Bank today but were hovering just outside the top 3 at number 4. Next week should be interesting. The real DBSK vs Wonder Girls battle is just getting started.

Korean fans are using "silent -listening " method

A chinese website by the name of Baidu Bar said that recently Korean fans are using the "silent-listening" method. They said Korean Cassiopeia had come up with the cheering for Mirotic a long long time ago but after the Mini Concert 2 different opinions surfaced: one is continue with the loud cheering while they sing, the other one is to use the "silent-listening" method like Japanese fans. A lot of people agreed with the second opinion. Because DBSK said that this album is aimed for the public, if they keep cheering loudly while the boys sing the atmosphere will be good but it will have bad effect on other viewers. After that Cassiopeia went and ask for an opinion from the boys themselves. The answer they received was that they hope the fans will listen to their performance silently. Because of that Korean fans have decided to follow the silent-listening method from then on. The super loud cheering you heard from Mnet was because a lot of fans lost control that day (maybe because of the unexpected fan meeting??) and they said it really had bad effects on Tv's viewer. Korean fans dont want the same thing happen again so they carefully told everyone to keep quite during the Music Bank performance and even gave leaflets to every fan who came in that day.

Reperforming the old song by Lee Yong " the Forgotten season " was the idea of Lee Soo Man.

Fans get hyped for TVXQ’s performance on Mnet Countdown

Fans were extremely excited when TVXQ / DBSK had their long awaited comeback performance on SBS Inkigayo, but during the performances the fans seemed somewhat subdued. That wasn't the case when TVXQ performed on MNet Countdown today. TVXQ performed the same three songs: Hey!, MIROTIC, and Love in the Ice but this time you could barely hear TVXQ as the fans were cheering so loud.

Fahrenheit Admires DBSK

Taiwanese boy-band, Fahrenheit expressed their desire to work with DBSK in the future at the press conference held today at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul. They also complimented Super Junior M and stated that they have a lot to learn from the Super Seniors, since the groups have more experiences.

Fahrenheit visited Korea as ambassadors for Taiwan.

That was TVXQ with this video named Mirotic, the album has the same name and it's gonna be launched in two different versions, one that is the normal one, we could say standard, and then, there's gonna be one that's gonna have a DVD and a photobook. And like you saw in the video, TVXQ came up with a new look because they have a new stylist. They are gonna present a look that is actually more modern and aside from that, they are really good-looking because they all are deportists, dancers, gymnast; so this is their style."

...Then the guy says, "they're Korean, they're Korean" (seems like he doesn't believe Chileans are drooling over Korean boys lol). The girl then confirms it. The guy asks if the album is also gonna come out in Chile or if can you buy it online... (SM they're asking for CD's in Chile!!!)

The girl says TVXQ is focused now on the Korean market, so it'd be difficult to find it somewhere else, but that people can go to Providencia, which I am guessing is a Korean town in Chile where you can find Korean stuff. They also name Eurocentro which I have no clue what it is, but must be a store I guess.
Then she goes on saying that the video of Mirotic is already on the show's website and that everyone should check it out.

DBSK takes a psychology test on FM's Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time

Popular group Dong bang Shin Ki, who have made their comeback after 1 year and 7 months gathered much new interest after taking a blood type based dating psychology test.

As part of the popular “Psychology break” corner of SBS Power FM’s Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time (something like Toho-psychology in Bigeaststation I presume), the Dong Bang boys took some time to take a psychology test.

In the test, the five boys had to look at some couples (I’m guessing either photos or short clips), before being asked which couple they liked the most. Micky Yoochun and Young Woong JaeJoong, both of type O blood chose “The couple who could communicate well with each other”. Xiah Junsu and Choikang Changmin, both of type B blood chose “The older woman, younger boy (Why does SHINee’s Noona you’re so pretty pop into my head XD) couple.” And lastly, U-Know Yunho of blood type A chose “The couple who got closer through fighting (as in arguing, etc – like a typical drama couple where it starts off with the girl hating the guy and vice versa, but in the end they both fall in love <3)”. The fact that those of the same blood type chose the same type of couple surprised and amused the Dong Bang boys, and in turn, their fans.

Micky Yoochun and Young Woong JaeJoong, both of O type blood explained that because they were introverts, they found it hard to approach the person they liked. However, once they like a person, they would love that person, and keep that love until the end. Choikang Changmin and Xiah Junsu revealed that if they love someone, they will love them without limits quickly, however, their love would have its romantic moments and non-romantic moments – in other words, ups and downs (translated literally, it would be something like their love would be ‘hot’ but it would cool down). From this, the members worried in a somewhat joking manner; “What if we someday disrupt Dong Bang Shin Ki’s schedule due to love?”

Lastly, U-Know Yunho revealed that once he fell in love with someone, he would push for a response from the person due to his tough personality. Due to this, many people had the response that Yunho would be the most likely to date his ideal girl.

Following the psychology corner, Dong Bang Shin Ki showed a less polished/practiced image which they didn’t show in other shows, to the delighted response of the audience. Choikang Changmin said, “I usually put the piece of pizza I’m eating on my hand and wait until everyone else has finished eating their pizza – and if they’ve left any, I eat that as well.” revealing an unexpected side of him. Young Woong JaeJoong, who the other Dong Bang Shin Ki members chose as the most fun to be around, once again showed his self-created unique vibration techniques (meaning vocal vibrations), as well as impersonations, transforming the audience into a sea of laughter.

At one point during the broadcast, “Dong Bang Shin Ki – Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time” achieved a ranking of 1st and 2nd on search engines, making us feel the power of Dong Bang Shin Ki’s popularity.
